4 Day PRO Asian Bridal Course

​

To kick start your career as a makeup & hair artist, you need the perfect blend of training, business advice, a beautiful photographic portfolio and a well-established Academy to help successfully launch your new career. Our comprehensive 4 Day Bridal Course provides just that! This highly practical course covers classic and contemporary looks in both makeup & hair artistry. In our course we also teach theory elements of the course that is learnt online prior to the practical course training commencing.

 

You will receive step by step practical guidance and demonstrations of each technique, and will be required to practically display what you have learnt through hands-on application. 

 

We cover techniques in:

  • Makeup Artist Hygiene

  • Contour & highlight

  • Strip lash application

  • Colour correction

  • Achieving a flawless base

  • Different eye makeup styles

  • Bridal veil & jewellery setting

  • Bridal & Party hairstyles

  • Hair extension and tools

  • Consultation techniques

You will be evaluated through practical assessments that will help us to guide and train you into a professional Makeup Artist!  Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded an accredited certificate from The Guild of Beauty Therapists, one the largest trade bodies in the beauty industry!

 

THEORY ELEMENT:

You will be sent login details of your theory course when you register on our courses. This will give you theory based learning such as skin anatomy, physiology, health and safety in the beauty industry. It will take approximately 3 weeks to complete the online theory work.

 

PRACTICAL ELEMENT:

DAY 1

We start with a BANG on Day 1! Civil, Fashion and Mehndi makeup looks are all taught on the first day!
Each look will be demonstrated by Anita , explaining product knowledge and application skills required to build each of these looks, step by step.

You will be provided with a full set of makeup brushes for you to use during the course and take away with you as a joining gift to the Academy. These brushes are for your professional kit and to be used throughout the course, so you will be responsible for cleaning them at the end of the day and bringing these with you to the course.  A training manual will be provided with instructions on how to clean your brushes and to make notes throughout the course for future reference. Upon completion of each look, you will re-create the look demonstrated using products and tools provided to you! We will be assessing your skills and techniques, and will ensure that you reach a very high standard in application and finish before moving on. To have maximum learning time, you can bring a model with you for this day, or we can arrange a model for you at an additional cost of £100 per day.
 

DAY 2

Today we further develop our skills and learn how to achieve a flawless and traditional Asian Bridal, Reception GLAM and Smokey eye makeup looks!  
On both of our makeup days we train you on Full Set Eyelashes Application. We will be assessing your skills and techniques, and we will ensure that you reach a very high standard in application and finish before moving onto the next look. To have maximum learning time, you can bring a model with you for this day, or we can arrange a model for you at an additional cost of £100 per day.

DAY 3

This day is dedicated to hair styling! On Day 3 you will be trained on classic hair looks, working with manikin doll heads with real hair. We will teach you the technical skills of applying hair extensions to create up do, down and a variety of hair styles. These hair styles are practical for application for a variety of occasions including bridal, fashion, party and catwalk.

Some of the styles taught on this day will include traditional bridal bun, Hollywood waves, Vintage Up-do. We will cover different fringe styles to frame the face in the most appropriate way to the client and also how to set head jewellery and bridal veils to the head. You will be provided with a professional hair tool kit to use during the course and to keep as part of your personal kit.

 

DAY 4

This is your day to SHINE! On Day 4 we’ll provide you with one model on whom you can create 2 looks, using any of the makeup and hair products, wardrobe of outfits, accessories and jewellery that we provide you with. We have a professional stylist who brings along the latest fashion, and will help you to dress your model according to the look you want.

Our professional photographer will then take a variety of photos for each look, and will co-direct the shoot with you. This is an essential part of being a makeup artist; knowing how to co-direct when you are working on your own future photo shoots! You will be provided with 2 finished digital images per look for your portfolio.
